Mission Challenge: Classification

This is a Loligo vulgaris squid, it has 8 tentacles and 2 arms. The tentacles are longer than its arms and had suckers at the tips only. They have skin covered in chromatophores, which allows it to change its color to blend in with its surround .It also has a siphon which use to suck in the water and sqirt it in a fast ,string jet which is kind of like a jet propulsion. It can also release from its ink sacto scare away or confuse it's predators. This squid eats shrimp, fish and other small marine animals.

Cricket Behavior Investigation

Question:Do cricket perfer wet or dry environment?

Hypothesis:Crickets prefer dry environment because the sound they make is most often heard at night when crickets are most active, ... into a moist environment to eat or lay eggs, but they must be able to retreat to dry ground

This week in science #4

This week in science my team( kaysha, nicole, kaitlyn ) and I did a project on the plant "Brassica Rapa ". We had to experiment on "how would the amount of soil affect Brassica rapas growth and height"?. So what we did was put different amounts of soil into three diiferent cups. We water them all equal , and treated the all the same. For some reason the one with the least soil didnt grow more than 1 and 1 halp inches. The one with the most soil grew 7 inches.

What i learned was this plant was a fast growing plant. It can also make mustard. This plant is fun because it didnt take them that long to

TWIS

This week in science my partners( Kaysha , Nicole, Kaitlyn)and me had to plant a seed called the "brassica rapa". It was fun but before we planted the seed we needed to make a testable question. Ours was "how would the amount of soil affect the growth of a plant"?. So far the one with the most soil is growing alot each day. This experiment is very fun and interesting to do and i would like to do more like this.

This Week in Science #2

What I did in science this week was my class and i did video blog talking about our relationship with science, and it was really fun but the challanging part was to make our video under a minute. It was hard but like i said it was also fun. Another thing we did in science was we planted a seed known as the "brassica rapa" in three different cups all with different heights of soil. So thats it.

This picture shows Brassica rapa.

What I learned in science this week was about the seed known as"brassica rapa". It is a fast growing plant, it starts growing within 2 weeks. It was fun learning about it. This plant is a dicot plant. We are learning how these plants will grow with IV(independent variables) and DV(dependent variables).
